Shipping Policy

In general, shipping costs are additional to the product price of items sold on this website.

Free shipping applies to some quantities purchased. For example, customers within Australia will receive free shipping by standard post when two or more full-price books are purchased in the same order. Standard and express post options are provided in the checkout section.

Presently, all orders are sent from Australia, where SKM (the publisher) is based. For customers outside of Australia, if significant volumes of orders are received from your country/region, then shipping costs may be reduced with the appointment of a bookseller or another agent in your country/region, or with printing in your country/region. In this event, no refund or credit for reduced shipping cost will apply to orders already sent.

If your location is not within the one of our listed sales regions, please email your order (contact us) and clearly specify the product & quantity required, your postal address, and your preferred means of shipping. You will then be sent an invoice, and upon receipt of payment your order will be fulfilled.

For all orders made through the checkout page on this website, it is assumed that if no one is present at the delivery address at the time of delivery, then authorisation is given to leave the parcel unattended.  Where a different arrangement is required, such as signature on delivery, use of another carrier (say a quicker courier), or simply a note on where to leave an unattended parcel, then instead of using the checkout page please email your order (contact us). Extra costs may be involved (e.g. in Australia, signature on delivery is an additional $2.95 per order), so we will send you an invoice.

 
Return & Exchange Policy

SKM acknowledges and understands that, in some circumstances, you might need to return your purchase. Most new, unopened items that have been sold and delivered to you may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery for a full refund, with the exceptions detailed in our Return Policy below.

Please retain your proof of purchase. Returned goods must be in "as-new condition", in their original packaging unopened, unused and undamaged. A refund will only occur if you are able to provide proof of purchase. SKM reserves the right to determine if a refund is made in full or made as a credit to your account.  Return postage costs are explained below:

  1. If the return is required as a result of an error by SKM, or the item arrives to you damaged or faulty, we will pay for the return postage or freight costs.

  2. Any requested change-of-mind returns are subject to approval by SKM.

  3. If you decide to cancel your order prior to dispatch, there will be no postage costs to you.  If your order has already been dispatched, freight or postage charges will not be refunded.   

  4. If the return is requested because of an error on your part, you will be required to pay for the return postage or freight costs.

  5. You are required to obtain approval from SKM in advance of any intended returns.

  6. Any postage and handling costs as part of the original purchase will not be refunded.

Cancelling Orders
 

SKM reserves the right to cancel orders at our discretion or to cancel the purchase arrangement after order confirmation, including (without limitation) where SKM believes the order to be fraudulent or constitutes a misuse of a promotional or marketing activity or where an error has occurred, including but not limited to errors relating to pricing. If we do cancel your order or purchase arrangement, we accept no liability for any resulting damages or costs suffered by you, however we will refund the purchase price to you where it has already been paid.

 
Change of Mind

SKM is not legally obliged to provide a refund if you simply change your mind or find the same product elsewhere. You may request a refund for your items within 7 days of receiving your order. Your request must be by email: contact@showknowmercy.com and the outcome will be determined by SKM.

If we agree to your change-of-mind request, the goods must be received by SKM in unused and undamaged condition within 14 days of the approval. You must ensure that the packaging of the returned goods is adequate for the goods to be received undamaged by SKM. Damaged items will not be accepted for a refund. 

 
Damaged or Faulty Items

We guarantee that the goods you receive from SKM will be of acceptable quality, fit for the purpose for which they are sold and match the description of those goods displayed on our website.  Where an item has arrived in a damaged or faulty condition, or does not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please let us know within 7 days of receiving your delivery by contacting us.

Where goods do not meet the consumer guarantees and there is a major failure in relation to the goods, you are entitled to one of the following remedies: a refund of the value of the goods purchased excluding any postage and handling charges; a replacement product which is identical or of similar value if reasonably available; or a credit issued to the value of the goods to be used within twelve months of the date of original purchase.
